Mask Production Machine  

Facing the threat of the epidemic, the machine in the factory operates 24 hours a day, transforming the non-woven raw materials into one by one to prevent the invasion of germs and protect people's health. Medical masks usually have a three-layer structure:
Waterproof layer: effectively prevent the penetration of droplet liquid
Waterproof layer: effectively prevent the penetration of droplet liquid
Skin-friendly layer: absorbent material to keep skin comfortable


The main process of making a mask can be divided into the following five steps. Through more than 300 kinds of practical and dedicated instructions of FATEK PLC, the built-in NC positioning control function and high-speed pulse output , plus a complete expansion module, can meet all the control requirements of the mask production machine.

Feeding: The inverter is controlled by the PLC to roll at the same time , and the three non-woven materials with different materials and characteristics are smoothly fed into the production line.

Forming: The three layers of flat non-woven fabric fed through the material pass through the three-dimensional grooves of the forming mold, and are processed into a structure that can be superimposed on each other to expand into a three-dimensional enclosing pattern.

Welding: After molding, three layers of non-woven fabric must be joined by embossing and welding on the four sides of the mask. The convenient PID temperature control instruction developed through FATEK's accumulated decades of experience in the field of temperature control, combined with a temperature measurement module, not only can accurately control the temperature to ensure that the target temperature is reached during welding to firmly join the three layers of non-woven fabrics butthe algorithm further improves the temperature-controlled reaction rate while accurately controlling the temperature while maintaining the production rate and ensuring production capacity.

Cutting: Although the four sides of the mask after welding have been joined, the pieces are still connected and must be cut. The cutting is performed by rotating the cylindrical tool under pressure. At this time, PLC needs to accurately control the synchronous rotation of the cutting tool and the front-end welding drum to accurately cut at the correct position without cutting the welding embossing.

Earband / discharge: After cutting the mask, the last process of the upper earband is left. The PLC interrupts the program without being affected by the scan time. It reads the status of each sensor without any time difference, and requires precise and real-time control actions such as mask turning and positioning. After the mask is placed on the positioning plate, the built-in NC positioning control command output of the PLC is used to output the high-speed pulse to control motor driver for fast and accurate positioning and fixing of the earband. The multi-axis simultaneous operation improves the production efficiency and increases the production capacity. Finally, after finishing the earband processing, the masks can be output in batches for the final quality inspection and packaging operations.
